Introduction

lpip (local-pip) lets you install internal Python packages by name, from Git you already operate. You do not run a private package index.

On PyPI the distribution is esys-lpip. The command is lpip.

A short catalog maps a name to a Git URL. lpip install libfoo becomes an ordinary pip install of that tree. Access control is clone access.
